What was it?
iOS without a phone plan. The last iPod, killed when a cheap iPhone became the honest version of the same idea.
Why it died
Editorial reading
The iPhone SE occupied the price band. A Wi-Fi-only iPhone was a relic of expensive cellular.
Founder takeaway
If the SKU exists to dodge a carrier bill, it dies when the bill shrinks.
