What was it?
Amazon’s 3D-face smartphone. Dynamic Perspective, Firefly shopping, and a $170 million inventory write-down.
Why it died
Editorial reading
A shopping phone nobody asked for, on a forked Android, at iPhone money. Prime bundling could not manufacture demand.
Founder takeaway
A feature that demos in a keynote (tilt-3D) is not a reason to switch ecosystems.
